Athletic? Absolutely. A tomboy? Not so much! Rather, Natalie Gulbis is a star golfer, stunning beauty and fighting philanthropist – and, clearly, a Real Beauty.
With some serious athletic prowess (the pro-golfer was also a stellar gymnast and dynamic diver too), the 5 foot 9 inch beauty quickly found her home in golf and her heart in competition. In fact, by age 7, when most of us were just barely learning how to read and write, Natalie had won her first golf tournament and, by age 10, was breaking par.
She graduated high school in three years (where she played No. 1 singles on the Men’s golf team!), earning a scholarship to the University of Arizona where she won 3 tournaments and earned All-America honors. After just one year playing at the collegiate level, though, (after both making the cut at the US Women’s Open where she went on to tie for 34th place as an amateur and earning female MVP honors at the USA-Japan Collegiate Golf Championship), Natalie decided to turn professional and to live her dream.
With a stint on Celebrity Apprentice (raising money for the Boys and Girls Club) and the goal of opening her own Boys and Girls Club one day, Natalie may have found her home on the LPGA, but she’s found her heart in philanthropy.
So, we sat down with Natalie Gulbis and asked her to weigh in on Real Beauty.
What do you think makes someone beautiful?
I believe that beauty comes from the inside and it is someone’s personality that makes them beautiful. A person who wears a smile and has a zest for life is truly beautiful to me.

How do you deal with the pressure for body perfection in our culture?
I do not feel pressured to have a perfect body and do not feel there is a “perfect” body. Rather than striving to have a “perfect” body, I think it’s more important to take care of my body every day through exercise, getting the proper amount of sleep, managing stress and proper nutrition.
If you could give your younger self advice about beauty, what would it be?
Drink more water and wear SPF!!
What is your one, can’t-live-without-it beauty product?
My number one, can’t-live-without-it beauty product is Bobbi Brown Tinted SPF Moisturizer ($40).
