Kennison Lay is an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, studying English and Marketing. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the Each One Teach One peer mentoring program, where she tutors under-privledged elementary school students in various subjects once per week. Kennison is a self-proclaimed fashion blog addict, beauty junkie, and lover of all things creative. When she’s not dissecting Chaucer or deciphering Derrida for her major coursework, Kennison enjoys reading her way through the English literary canon — a project to which she doesn’t harbor any presumptions of ever actually completing. Kennison has spent most of her life writing for an audience limited to herself, her teachers, and her family, but has big dreams of some day reaching a wider readership.
I am bold… in my decision to study what I love and tirelessly chase my dreams.
I am brilliant… in my studies; it takes some level of practice and dedication to get through the likes of Proust and Joyce, but that doesn’t stop me from trying!
I am beyond the bullshit… in the way that I make no apologies for who I am, how I’m feeling, or what I believe.
