Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe: How To Make Healthy French Fries

Whether your burger kinda gal or not, there’s something about French fries that tempt even the most-health conscious among us. Thankfully, you don’t need to choose between your craving and remaining loyal to your health. Rather, make baked sweet potato “fries” instead – their not only heart-healthy (and not deep fried!) but also are rich in vitamins A and C and high in fiber. (In fact, if you leave the skins on, one medium sweet potato has more fiber than oatmeal!) For a sweet treat, try serving them with organic maple syrup.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet potatoes (1 per serving)
Olive oil
Sea salt
Cumin, optional

Love potato salad? Try this healthy version instead!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel your potatoes, if preferred, and cut each in half and then into 6 pieces, length-wise.  In a large bowl, toss potato slices in enough olive oil to lightly coat and sprinkle with salt and cumin (if desired). Place the seasoned potato pieces on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, or until crispy.
