Tuna sliders are a great alternative to beef. Tuna is a rich source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and offer numerous health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, coronary heart disease prevention and Alzheimer’s disease prevention. Plus, these sliders are super easy and super fast to make. Try them at your next picnic or BBQ – or whip them up for an easy dinner at home all year long!
2 Pouches of Tuna
3/4 C Bread Crumbs
1/2 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Reduced Fat
1/2 C Fat Free Mayonnaise
2 T Chopped Scallions
1/8 C Liquid Egg Substitute
2 t Canola Oil
Lettuce and Tomato, to taste
Combine tuna, breadcrumbs, cheese, mayonnaise, onion and egg substitute in a large bowl and mix together. Form mixture into 6 patties. Heat oil in a skillet and cook patties for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Place tuna patty on a slider bun and garnish with lettuce and tomato.
