If your next BBQ needs some healthy coleslaw, give this sweet and sour version a try. It’s gluten-free and vegan – and delicious too.

Plus, with its probiotic kimchee to help ease digestion, you can feel better about the rest of your BBQ indulgences!

Sweet + Sour Maple KimcheeΒ Coleslaw

1/2 small purple cabbage, chopped
1/4 cup kimchee (or raw sauerkraut)
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 avocado, sliced or cubed

Toss the cabbage, kimchee and maple syrup until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to meld the flavors. Β Add the avocado immediately prior to serving.

Enjoy on its own or on your favorite sandwich or burger!
