How To Eat For A Better Sex Life

A satisfying sex life and lasting physical connection thrives on more than just attraction and chemistry. Rather, (believe it or not) with a few easy changes in your diet you can achieve and maintain a more sexually satisfying life. So, what foods should you stock your sexually-satisfying pantry with? To find out, we turned to Marcus Antebi, founder of NYC’s The Juice Press for the sexy scoop….

Avoid These Foods For A Better Sex Life…

Eating for sex is as much about what to leave out of your diet as it is about what to add to it. According to Antebi, highly stimulating foods (like caffeine, chocolate and artificial sweeteners) as well as highly processed foods can tax your organs, accelerate the aging process and put a damper on your sexual energy. Avoid these sexually-diminishing foods, though, and your physical stamina, passion and blood flow will all be at an optimal level.

Add These Foods To Your Diet For A Better Sex Life…

The key to a sexually stimulating diet is food that is nutritionally dense and rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Antebi suggests we start with green superfoods (like spirulina algae, blue algae, wheatgrass, barley grass and dark green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, kale, chard, dandelion, parsley and spinach), which are loaded with chlorophyll, essential for the production of hemoglobin. And you know what more hemoglobin means? (Don’t worry, we didn’t either.) But, without getting too technical, it means better sex… (Just trust us… er, trust Antebi!).

Should you screw your diet?

Also good for a sexier diet: fruits and nuts, (especially if you’re interested in boosting your stamina). The sugars in fruit (especially in berries and stone fruits), unlike the sugars found in processed foods, are not only full of the most powerful antioxidants, but also are great sources of energy. Want to up your sexual ante even more, load up on raw cacao, maca, noni, acai, goji, coconut oil and raw almond and brazil nuts.
