Italian Green Beans & Almonds
Frozen Italian cut green beans
Raw sliced almonds
Coat the bottom of a large frying pan with two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil before heating the pan on medium heat. Add the entire bag of frozen beans and begin to heavily season. Add a generous amounts of salt, pepper, garlic salt, garlic and basil. Don’t be shy. The seasonings are what make this dish!
Flip the beans every couple of minutes, but don’t be afraid to have them crisp up a bit, this gives the beans a great texture.
While the beans cook, take out a piece of foil and spread the sliced almonds out into one layer. Slide the almonds under the broiler for about five minutes, but be sure to keep an eye on them because they can burn extremely quick. Once the almonds are toasted, take them out of the oven and add them to the beans. Give it a quick mix and serve immediately.
