Drink Coffee, Live Longer?
Many of us struggle with caffeine addiction.
Don’t get us wrong, if your love for coffee is interfering with your ability to get a good night’s sleep or if it’s irritating your stomach – or, well, if it’s otherwise negatively impacting your life in any other way – you should probably cut back (or cut it out all together).
But for the rest of us, there’s another reason to brew another pot of Joe.
A recent study found that colon cancer patients who were heavy coffee drinkers had a far lower risk of dying or having their cancer return than those who did not drink coffee.
The key coffee consuming threshold: two to three cups a day.
In fact, patients who drank four or more cups of caffeinated coffee a day saw their colon cancer recur half as often and saw half the rate of death than noncoffee drinkers!
Other studies have shown that drinking coffee can actually help prevent cancer too.
So, BeautyBean-ers, drink up!
