6 Glamorous Beauty Tips For Your Next Holiday Party

By Alix Turoff

While we love the excitement of the holiday season, we can’t deny that sometimes it can get a little hectic.

Work starts to pick up as the year closes out, the morning commute gets a little bit more congested, and the influx of party invitations has us wondering what on earth we’re going to wear and how we’re going to keep our beauty routine appropriate for both work and happy hour.

As always, we’re letting you in on some amazing beauty tips and finds that will make prepping for every holiday party easy and glamorous!

Nails: Gelish Mini Starter Kit ($89.99)
Gel manicures are amazing, but not only can they start to get pricey, they can also be time consuming. We love Gelish’s starter kit for an easy, at-home gel mani whenever you need it! The kit comes with everything you need, including the portable UV light, the adhesive polish coat, and 2 fun gel colors (bright pink and red glitter). We found that the entire manicure took us about 15 minutes from start to finish and it lasted more than 10 days before it started to chip!

Hair: Cricket Ultra Smooth Curling Iron ($99)
When it comes to hair these days, bigger is better. So when it comes to planning our holiday parties’ hairstyles, we’re going for a full, voluminous head of hair with natural looking waves and curls – and this Cricket curling iron makes it so easy to get this look! We especially love the ceramic plating because it helps add moisture to hair and seals our locks with added argan oil to help hydrate and repair any damage. The iron even packs keratin protein for a stronger strand with added shine and less frizz.

3 Money Saving Beauty Tips

Skin: The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil ($22)
It seems like our beach days are long gone and our nice bronze tans are more than worn off. While we love our skin regardless of the pigment, sometimes it’s nice to add a little bronze shimmer to moisturize and add a little glimmer. The Body Shop’s lightweight dry oil is super natural and feels like you’re not even wearing anything. It has just a hint of shimmer and no dreaded orange tones. So, if a tropical vacation isn’t in your near future and you’re looking for a little boost, this dry oil is a must.

Fragrance: Fan di Fendi Blossom ($71 for 1.7 oz)
With gorgeous top notes of pink peppercorns and nashi raspberry accord that mingle with heart notes of jasmine absolute, magnolia, and sakura blossom accord, and are bossted by base notes of vanilla accord and white musk, we’re loving Fendi’s newest addition to the Fan di FENDI fragrance collection.  The scent is floral but light and we promise that everyone at this year’s holiday parties will remember you for your scent…in a good way.

Dry Skin Beauty Tips: How To Keep Hands Soft All Winter Long

Face: Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush ($9.79)
We simply don’t have room in our bags for both a blush pallete AND a brush so instead we opt for this beautiful cream blush which eliminates the need for a brush. Just blend the crème into the cheeks for a long lasting finish. This blush is especially convenient because you can easily build color by layering the blush to achieve as much drama as you want!

Lips: Korres Lip Butter ($12)
Winter is rough on our lips. Dry, chapped lips are common woes for so many of us and while Vaseline is always great, we can’t help but want a little more glamour. This lip butter is so rich and buttery that it can replace your medicated lip balms which is great news because it comes in so many fun colors! (Our favorite: Pomegranate, a sheer, sexy, coral!)
