When you want to keep your hair off your face, but still want your hair cascading down your back, a sleek mohawk braid is the way to go. It works with any neckline, and showcases some serious attitude.

To create this sassy look, follow Cutler/Redken Stylist Jenny Balding‘s steps below!

Step One: Blow dry your hair very straight by using a smoothing, straightening lotion.

Step Two: Section a mohawk section of 2” width coming into a point on the nape.

Step Three: Use a dry shampoo on this section, to create texture and grip to the hair.

Step Four: Reverse braid from the hairline right down to the nape and secure with small, clear, elastic band.

Step Five: If necessary, finish by using a straightening iron to the loose hair for a sleek, polished feel.
