Textured Hair: When Grunge Goes Glam

Textured Grunge Makes Runway Ready Hair

Alexander Wang epitomizes downtown cool – consistently celebrating the intersection of grunge and glamor – and his beauty team backstage at New York Fashion Week always follows suite.

With hair created and styled by Redken Creative Consultant Guido, models at the Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2014 runway show at New York Fashion Week wore their hair down, naturally textured and voluminous.

“Overall it’s a very sexy look this season. I wanted the hair to reflect the cool, low-key Alexander Wang type girl. I suppose there are equal parts grunge and glamour, in that the hair is voluminous, yet natural,” said Guido.
