Claire Danes: How To DIY Claire Danes’ Hair at The Golden Globes

New mom Claire Danes scored big at the 2013 Golden Globes – and not just with her win for Best Performance by an actress in a TV series – Drama. With glowing skin, smoky eyes, bedroom hair and a plunging Versace gown, women everywhere (not even to mention men!) swooned over her beauty.

With sexy, loose waves, inspired by her red-hot Versace gown and reminiscent of a modern-day Jessica Rabbit., Clair Danes’ hair at the Golden Globes was the perfect combination of glam and wearability.

We spoke with Peter Butler, the celebrity hairstylist responsible for Claire Danes’ hair to see how to DIY the glamorous waves at home.

Prep. Blowdry hair with a large, round, boar bristle brush. Take a curling iron with a 1 1/2 inch barrel and start curling hair section by section. Set the curls with Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hairspray.

Style. To create the perfect wave, use a paddle brush to brush through curls. Apply Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Crème ($5.99 at drugstores) throughout the hair–it will soften hair and add shine while leaving the curls chunky and intact.

Perfect. Finish by adding a fine mist of Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray to lock in the style.
