How To Sweat-Proof Your Hair
If you have short hair… Try applying a moisturizing product (for African American women Stephen recommends Motions Hydrate My Curls Pudding, $6.00) and wrapping a cotton scarf around your head, leaving the top of your head exposed, before hitting the gym. Wait until your hair dries before removing the scarf. The cotton will help absorb your sweat while the moisturizing cream will keep your hair frizz-free. Not only will the scarf keep your hair moisturized but it will keep you warm during any winter workout!
If you have long hair… Pin-curl medium sized sections of your hair and cover with a silk scarf. After showering shower, remove the scarf, comb out and style. If needed, spray scalp with dry shampoo.
