The team behind the Kate Spade Fall/Winter 2012 presentation at NY Fashion Week certainly thinks so.
Inspired by the high energy, anything goes attitude of NYC in the 70s, Garnier Fructis’ Tommy Buckett, in consultation with the show’s lead stylist Brad Goreski, brought together high glam disco and sleek New York in what can only be described as va-va-voom volume.
“Bigger is better – so big, sexy hair was our focus,” said Tommy backstage.
Which leaves us wondering: is everything really bigger in Texas? (Because we’re pretty sure NYC wins on this one.)
Think bigger (hair) is always better too? Here’s how Tommy created the look backstage at Kate Spade…
1. Spray roots with Fructis Volume Extend Dry Shampoo for volume.
2. Divide hair into sections and backcomb (AKA tease) before curling hair back and away from your face, pinning each piece back to set.
3. Once hair is cool, remove pins and brush out with a Mason Pearson brush (or other boar-bristle brush).
4. Finish with Fructis Style Volumizing Anti-Humidity Hairspray for hold and Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil For Hair, Body & Face for shine.
