Beauty Hack: How To Curl Your Lashes With A Spoon
Whether you’re in a bind without an eyelash curler in sight, fret the clamp of an eyelash curler so close to your pretty peepers, or either have lashes that are too short or lids the “wrong” shape for the lash curlers you’ve tried, learn how to curl your eyelashes with a spoon!
Sent our way by celebrity makeup artist Archangela Chelsea (you’ve likely seen her work on How to Get Away with Murder, Revenge, and more!), this beauty hack is a game changer for when you want your eyes to pop but either don’t have (or don’t want to use!) a traditional eyelash curler.
Here’s what you need to know.
How To Curl Your Eyelashes With A Spoon
“This trick works for any woman, but is especially great for someone with short lashes,” says Archangela. It’s especially great because you can curl all of your lashes at the same time.
So, how, exactly, do you curl your eyelashes with a spoon? Archangela says to “simply hold the edge of a teaspoon or tablespoon and press your lashes into the bowl with your thumb to create the curl.” (Make sure you’re using a clean spoon! Eye infections are no joke!)
We experimented a bit and found that different eye shapes worked better with varying positions of the spoon, so experiment to find the best positioning for you.
To make the process even quicker, Archangela suggests warming your spoon by running it under warm water before pressing it to your lash line.
