Copper Makeup: Here’s How To Wear It
Much like rose gold has taken over as the metal of choice for jewelry, look out for copper to push gold and silver aside when it comes to your makeup routine.
Well, if Gucci Westman’s copper eyeshadow on models at J Mendel’s NY Fashion Week runway show is any indication anyway – and trust us when we say that it is!
Focused on striking eyes for J Mendel’s Fall ’13 Runway Show at New York Fashion Week, Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, paired copper eyes with natural lips and a flawless complexion.
“The J. Mendel collection reminded me of the rich, saturated tones of fashion photographer Norman Parkinson’s print,” says Westman. “I wanted to bring out this sophisticated palate by creating a complementary look that is both simple and luxurious. The copper eyes have a glossy sheen, while the skin remains dewy and flawless.”
How To Rock Copper Eyeshadow At Home
Backstage at J Mendel, Westman used a combination of Revlon ColorStay Smoky Shadow Stick in both Atomic and Torch ($8.99 each) along with Revlon PhotoReady Shadow and Primer in Muse from the Fall/Winter ’13 Collection by Gucci Westman ($9.99), which, sadly, won’t be available until October 2013.
Regardless of the products you use, though, the key is in keeping it glossy for a modern take on metallic.
