Marissa Webb NYFW Makeup: How To DIY The Silver Springtime Smoky Eye

The New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 Backstage Beauty Report: Silver Springtime Smoky Eye

Designer: Marissa Webb

Lead Hair Stylist: Yadim for Maybelline

The Scoop: Marissa Webb’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection is a variety of edgy, “downtown” separates for the creative woman on-the-go. Marissa pairs defined silhouettes with playful hemlines to bring the urban aesthetic to life.  TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu created two hairstyles that encompass both a gritty vibe and a feminine twist to complete the look.

How To DIY The Silver Springtime Smoky Eye

Face: Yadim created a clean base with Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation, FIT me! Concealer and FIT! me Pressed Powder. He contoured cheeks with a beige shade from The NUDES Palette and then used Color Tattoo 24HR Cream-Gel Shadow in Baely Branded to highlight cheekbones, inner eyes, the upper bridge of the nose and the chin.

Eyes: To create a “creamier, slightly shiny” smoky eye, Yadim applied Master Kajal in Charcoal Skies to upper and lower lids, smudging up above the crease and following with Master Kajal in Black Onyx close to the lash line. He then applied the black shade of Color Molten in Midnight Morph (available in January 2015) up to slightly above the crease.  Next, he added the silver shade of Color Molten in Sapphire Mist to the inner corners and used Baby Lips in Quenched (a clear shade of lip balm) on eyelids to get a glossy sheen. Great Lash Mascara in Very Black was applied to top and bottom lashes, to separate and define.

Lips: Yadim applied Baby Lips in Quenchedfollowed by a touch of FIT me! Concealer, for a nude lip look
