Science Says You Can Reduce Stress 65% With This Song!
Struggle to fall asleep because you can’t turn your brain off?
Think meditation is a crock, because, well, who the hell can sit still for 20 minutes when you’re stressed-the-f-out?
Pretty sure your skin would clear up, your acid reflux would subside, and your relationships would flourish if you could just get a handle on your stress?
Well, it turns out there’s a scientifically proven way to reduce stress. And, no, it doesn’t come with a prescription from a doctor and a long list of side effects.
It’s a song. “Weightless” by Marconi Union, to be specific, which was actually a song created for precisely this purpose.
In a recent study in the UK, neuroscientists tested how various songs affect participants’ stress levels while solving difficult puzzles. During the puzzle solving, participants listened to a variety of songs while researchers measured indicators of stress, including brain activity, heart rate, blood pressure, and rate of breathing.
“Weightless” by Marconi Union, a song created in collaboration with sound therapists to regulate heart-rate, reduce blood pressure, and reduce anxiety, was the clear winner!
And, well, it works! It was scientifically shown to reduce stress by a whopping 65%!
