Matte Nude Nails: How To DIY The Runway Trend
Matte nude nails may just be our favorite fall beauty trend of 2016.
Towing the line between fashion-forward and subtly-chic, this matte nude manicure as seen a the Fall/Winter 2016 Proenza Schouler show at NY Fashion Week is everything we want for our nails for fall: subtleness, chic, and safe for work!
Paired with the designers’ collection of warm, buttery tones of ochre, brick, and sable, along with natural material accessories like leather, Julie Kandalec for essie decided to replicate the feeling of warmth and texture onto the nails with all eyes on nudes, a camel-hued neutral tone.
“As part of the cashmere matte collection, the shade gives off a satin-matte texture and micro-iridescent finish, which perfectly complements the collection,” said Julie.
It also perfectly complements, well, just about everything in your closet.
How To DIY Matte Nude Nails:
- Apply ridge filling base coat to clean, filed nails
- Apply three coats of all eyes on nudes (from the cashmere matte collection)
- Skip the top coat, but add an additional coat of all eyes on nudes, as needed, for longevity
