Ask The Doctor: Dr. Schultz Helps Us Understand & Treat Combination Skin
Before any of us can even begin to find the perfect skincare regimen for a flawless face, it’s essential that we understand our skin-type. Unfortunately, for many of us, this is more complicated than the typical labels of “dry” or “oily.”
Despite the fact that we often think of dry and oily as opposites, they are really two different things: dryness is a measure of water, while oiliness is a measure of oil. Although some of you are surely (and clearly) dry or oily, the majority of our faces have some sort of a combination of both. In trying to attain the ideal balance, though, it’s essential that you know not only what you’re dealing with but also where – just because your nose is oily doesn’t mean your cheeks follow suit.
To help us understand and treat our combination skin, The Beauty Bean turned to top NYC dermatologist, Dr. Neal Schultz of Park Avenue Skin Care and DermTV, for help in figuring this all out. Watch the exclusive video below for his expert advice for readers of The Beauty Bean.
