Beauty School with Poppy King, The Lipstick Queen

Poppy King is not a makeup artist or a chemist; yet, in 1992 (just months out of high school), Poppy found herself launching what would become a multi-million dollar lipstick business. On a never-ending quest for the perfect matte lipstick, fed up with the thin, slimy and greasy lipsticks on the market and the lack of rich, opaque pigments reminiscent of the 1940s, Poppy took the industry by storm.

Today, she is an internationally renowned trend spotter, color expert, business leader, author (click here to see her book!) and founder of Lipstick Queen, a new line of lipsticks we just can’t get enough of! So while she may be obsessed with the lips and every possible color, texture, finish and technology there is to make your lips look amazing; we’re obsessed with her (and her Lipstick Queen line!).

If I could paint the world one color, I’d paint it… exactly the way it is….the world is an amazing place.

My favorite beauty product under $10 is… a huge bottle of water… being dehydrated is a beauty no no.
