Beauty Tips for Getting the Perfect Eyebrows
By Becca Gregg
You can’t deny it. Most of the time, when taken care of, they go unnoticed. However, when ignored and not maintained, they can be one of the first things people see. We’re talking about eyebrows, that is! From uni-brows to forests, over-plucking and even crazy scary arches, we’ve certainly heard the horror stories. Despite the importance of your brows though, if you’re anything like us here at The Beauty Bean, you still let out a groan each time they require maintenance.
So, to make your morning routine both easier and more fun, we’ve put together a list of our favorite products to beautify your brows on the fly. From tweezers to brushes, brow tint and even stencils, give these goods a whirl and you’ll be looking like a pinup in no time!

Countdown to a Beautiful Brow
Clean-up: Whether you’re a plucker or a waxer, it’s important to first and foremost clean up your canvas. If you prefer to pluck, you should know that tweezers with a slanted or pointed tip will grip hairs best. Make sure to pluck below the brow line. This way, when hair comes back, it will follow the natural arch of your brow. Use the top of the brow as a guide on how to shape the bottom. And remember, don’t over-do it! After all, who wants to walk around with one eyebrow? We sure don’t!
Try: Japonesque Artisan Slant Tip Tweezer, $20 (check out the fun patterns, including cows, pink lilies and a jigsaw puzzle!), amazon.com.
Comb: Before applying any makeup, make sure that your brows are combed into place.
Try: Sonia Kashuk Lash and Brow Groomer, $7.99 at target.com.
Fill in: Whether you prefer a wax, powder or pencil, fill in the sparse parts of your brows, beginning at the hairs closest to your nose and working outwards.
Try: Clarins Pro-Palette Eyebrow Kit, $35, bloomingdales.com or Brow Diva Brow Powder, $25, browdiva.com.
Secure: To keep your brows in place, finish the look with eyebrow gel and/or brow tint.
Try: Paula’s Choice Brow/Hair Tint, $9.95, paulaschoice.com.
