We’ve all been there: you wake up late, your hair is a mess and there’s no time to shower and start all over. Sure, the thought of throwing on a hat crosses your mind, but you’re not sure about your boss’s feelings towards your baseball team of choice – let alone the appropriateness of wearing a baseball cap to work.
So, what do you do when you wake up with a bad hair day and calling in sick isn’t an option?
We asked BondingOverBeauty.com’s Erika Katz what she does to turn bad hair days into “damn I could be in a Pantene Pro-V commercial” days. Here’s what she said:
If your hair is greasy, spray some Dry Shampoo into the roots and comb through to quickly get rid of the oil. Erika likes Oscar Blondie Volumizing Dry Shampoo best, but check out Alexis Wolfer’s favorite dry shampoos here too!
To tame frizzy hair, put your hair in hot rollers to calm down the frizz. (Note: this works best with clean hair.)

For a glamorous take on the ponytail, brush your bad hair day into a chic ponytail, securing with a hair-color-matching elastic. With a curling iron, curl the ends of the ponytail to make it less gym-ready and more boardroom ready.
Flyaways out of control? Spray some hairspray on your hands and smooth down the flyaways with your hand.
If your hair has ridges and dents from yesterday’s ponytail, pull hair into a low ponytail. Before pulling the ponytail through for the last time, leave the ends under the elastic so you have a loop. Then use a headband to keep the flyaways off the face. You can smooth the hair with a tiny bit of pomade but not too much because then it will look greasy.
