Hunter Dixon Heads Online

By Maxine Frendel

It’s no secret that there are websites for everything nowadays, including first-choice fashion lines and unique beauty buys. When you think about it, what would you do without your favorite brands’ online look-books and wish lists? If you’re anything like us, the answer is probably cry, scream or complain until they come back! This is why we’re so excited that Hunter Dixon, the sophisticated and spunky fashion line, has turned technologically savvy.

The brainchild of southern belles Hunter Bell and Jennifer Dixon, Hunter Dixon launched last year and quickly became known for providing customers with fresh, contemporary pieces.  While Bell designs the clothing with inspiration from her own closet, Dixon handles the entrepreneurial side of the business. With such glamorous colors and classically clean lines, it’s no wonder their blouses and slacks have become wardrobe staples for many of us.

Formerly only available at in-person at boutiques, though, the company recently launched HunterDixon.com. It wasn’t until fans of the line started posting on Facebook and Twitter that the duo decided to create an interactive e-commerce site. “We feel that fans of Hunter Dixon have been able to connect to our brand better with the new website and hope e-commerce will have the same achievement,” says Bell.

The best part of this online revolution, though? The company plans to unveil e-commerce in the fall, meaning that you’ll no longer need to travel to Saks Fifth Avenue to check out the collections. Instead, you can simply fire up your laptop and purchase items online. Plus, there will be several pieces designed exclusively for the online shopper, available only via their website.

Better than even the best personal shopper, the Hunter Dixon site also features many user-friendly tools, including a customer account page that will keep track of your personal information, wish lists and more. One of our favorite aspects of the site, though, is Hunter Dixon’s famous “Blouse Program.” Online, the brand’s signature silk blouses are offered in eight classic styles and colors, including classic white and black. Each season, though, the program will evolve with the addition of exclusive colors and prints. If seven or more customers request a certain color selection, the company promises to add that color to their online store.
