Oscar Fashion 2010: Get Sandra Bullock’s Good as Gold Look
Fashion lovers wait all year for awards season to see our favorite stars walk the red carpet in the chicest of gowns. This year, the biggest actresses and actors turned out for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, the most important award show of the year. We understand those who argue for months over who is going to win the Award for Best Picture or whether a woman will finally win Best Director, because we do exactly the same thing – except over here we’re obsessing over what will be the big hair and makeup trends, or who will wear what designer.
This year there was one particular standout when it came to both the red carpet and the awards: Sandra Bullock. The longstanding darling of romantic comedies took a more serious turn this year in her movie, The Blind Side. And as her acting has matured, so has her style. She has been turning out in one more stunning ensemble after another, sporting designers like Alexander McQueen and Lanvin.
Hair accessories are back and better than ever, see one of our favorite looks.
For her first Oscar nomination, the actress went with the red carpet mainstay Marchesa. We love how the slim line of the gown shows off her figure, while reflecting her sophistication and poise. This Hervé Léger dress has a lot of the same characteristics as Bullock’s gown; it is both curve hugging and shines in glittering gold. And while we aren’t exactly up for Oscar gold, this dress will give us Sandra’s winning attitude. After all, we’ve always had a soft spot for statue-inspired dresses.
If gold isn’t your thing, try out this perfect LBD.
