Rope Bracelets: Nautical Jewelry for Summer and Beyond
If you’ve spent summers on the Cape, on Nantucket or at any sleep-away camp (even if it was years ago), you’re likely familiar with the rope bracelets that once marked our summers (as well our wrists). And while we traditionally cut off our bracelets come fall, (only to remain marked with the tan line it created,) this season, we’re keeping ours on. Like the bracelets of our youth, the braided rope jewelry we’re lusting for now evokes the same yearning for youthful fun in the sun, but with a fashion-forward (albeit nautical) slant. And these, well, these we won’t be ditching (and certainly not cutting!) come fall. Rather, paired with our winter wardrobes, they’ll provide us with a somewhat distant memory of steamy summer nights (and a glimpse into the hope of summers to come).

3 styles we’re loving now (clockwise from the top):
Made of chiffon, leather and chain, this high-fashion take on the classic looks comes in several colors (from neutral to bright) and can be worn alone or stacked. Our favorite is the double wrapped grey bracelet, although we have to say that we’re loving the idea of staking them elbow high.

For a youthful take on the trend, perfect for beach-bound days, this Urban Outfitters find is the ideal accessory. Plus, at under $10, if you do happen to cut it off at the end of the summer (or lose it in an ocean dip) it won’t break the bank.

If rope isn’t your thing (and a flashback to your youth isn’t your style), this golden take on the trend will surely satisfy. With a nod to the nautical, but with a classic twist, this braided chain bracelet will last for seasons to come – even when ropes inevitably go out of style.
