Say Yes To Your Goals, Remember With This Necklace
This year, we resolved to be “yes” people. We wanted to let our guards down and jump on board more often. We wanted to try new things, meet new people and take risks (in the non-life-threatening kind of way). In January (when resolutions are often made, and usually quickly forgotten), we vowed to say “yes” more often – to that guy or girl we really weren’t all that interested in going out on a second date with (almost everyone is worth a second chance!), to trying to run that extra mile (we know, thanks to the cheerleading of Lacey Stone, that we’re stronger than we think we are) and to (almost) anything else that came our way.

Yet, just 6 months later, we almost forgot we had even made that commitment, and we have certainly done little to honor it. Habits, we know, take time to form. They take repetition and reminders before they become ingrained in our being. But without a tangible token with which to refresh our memories of that resolution we made as champagne corks flew and clocks struck midnight, we quickly reverted back to our old, safe, “no”-saying ways.
Wanting to get back on track with our resolution to be “yes”-people, we knew we needed some help. Merely resolving to remember clearly hadn’t been working. We needed an external reminder. Since alarm clocks on our phones seemed too intrusive and annoying, tattoos seemed too public and permanent and all of our other ideas seems unworthy of a “yes” (note: resolution does not commence until means by which to remember is found), we knew we had to find another way – and when we stumbled upon this “yes” necklace we knew we had found it.

In a classy, cute, trendy and subtle way, this gold-plated “yes” necklace from Olia Designs solves all our problems. It will be just enough to remind us of our resolution and keep us on track. And if it doesn’t, well, at the very least we’ll have a fashionable addition to our summer wardrobes!
