Diane Kendal for NARS Cosmetics created the backstage beauty look for the Fall 2012 Thakoon runway show. “Thakoon wanted to focus on the lip this season,” said NARS makeup artist Diane Kendal. “It’s a fuschia pink, which is not an obvious color for a bold lip. We wanted to play with color, and it ends up making the whole look so interesting.” Taking inspiration from 1980s New York but, as designer Thakoon Panichgul explains, “with a quirky twist,” the look backstage at Thakoon is simultaneously fresh and minimal as well as bold and daring.
