Bring YogaWorks Home
While yoga has been popular for quite some time (and certainly has its cult following), many (until recently, myself included) see the pose-based classes as falling short on the barometer against which we judge whether or not something classifies as a strenuous workout.
YogaWorks, however, proved to us that yoga does, in fact, work. With 22 years of experience offering traditional yoga in a contemporary way, the Los Angeles-based yoga studio (with 23 studios in NY and California) had us hooked. Merely two classes into our month-long yoga challenge at YogaWorks’ Soho studio and we were already converts. We felt stronger. Our cores were more chiseled, our legs more toned, and our entire bodies more flexible. It was glaringly obvious why everyone from models to moms and athletes to amateurs swear by the practice.
We, however, know we’re spoiled. Not only do we live in a city that has a yoga studio in every neighborhood, but also we work for The Beauty Bean and therefore get to spend part of our workdays trying things like this out. We get that many of you aren’t so fortunate. You may not have a yoga studio conveniently located and with careers, school, kids, and more, fitting an hour-long yoga class into your routine is not your top priority (understandably so!), and sometimes impossible.
For yoga devotees and new converts alike, however, YogaWorks is bringing the yoga studio to you with its debut series of yoga DVDs. With three different DVDs, the collection offers step-by-step routines designed to help anyone realize the benefits of yoga anytime, anywhere. The first DVD, YogaWorks Body Slim, is a strengthening and sculpting forty-minute series designed to build lean muscles, improve flexibility, increase energy, and make you sweat. The second, YogaWorks Beginners AM/PM, has three basic routines (a forty-minute beginner’s regimen, a ten-minute AM Wake-Up, and a ten-minute PM Relax & Restore) that are simple enough for anyone to try. The third, YogaWorks Fit Abs, includes a ten-minute series alternating between segments of high-intensity movement and slow-burn holds as well as a forty-minute Core Yoga Flow segment designed to increase heart rate up and increase strength.
Just pop in a DVD in the comfort of your home – before breakfast, after work, in the middle of the night – for the benefits of YogaWorks anytime, anywhere. (We’re no longer the only ones who get to be spoiled.)
