Workout at Home, No Equipment Needed
Fitness Trainer Paul Pisani Makes You Sweat: Workout 2
By Alexis Wolfer & Paul Pisani
With snow, cold weather and miserable traveling conditions (at least where we are!), the ability to work out at home is more important than ever, especially if you want to stay healthy and fit. So get ready to sweat in your newly (and inexpensively) assembled home gym with top personal trainer Paul Pisani as he takes us through his second workout designed exclusively for The Beauty Bean.
Missed the first workout? See it (and the equipment you need to get started) here!
Get your heart rate up before you start in order to raise your metabolic rate for a more effective and time-efficient exercise routine that will whip you into cardiovascular and muscular shape in no time! Then tackle this workout that is not only designed to strengthen your heart, work your muscles and increase your fitness level, but also will help you with your everyday activities (like when you’re lugging those nutritious groceries upstairs)!
Find the perfect heart rate monitor!
Here, three exercises to give you a taste of what is in store for you this week:

Superwomen Alternating
Place yourself on all fours (your knees and hands). Lift one knee off the ground and extend your leg straight while simultaneously lifting the opposite arm. Bring your arm and leg down and repeat for the prescribed number of times before switching sides.

Resistance Band Standing Row
Attach the resistance band to a secure position (or have a trainer or partner hold it). With a slight bend in your knee and a straight lower back, squeeze your glutes while slowly pulling the band back towards you, parallel to the ground. Concentrate on pulling your shoulder blades back together as if you were trying to pinch a dime between them.

Split Squat
Stand in a lunge position with one foot forward and one foot back. With good posture throughout your back and neck, try to keep most of your weight on your front leg. Lower your hips until your rear knee touches the floor before standing back up to the starting position. Maintain good posture, trying to only move your upper body straight up and down.
