3 Quick, Easy & Affordable DIY Spa Treatments

3 Easy + Cheap Spa Treatments

If you feel in need of a spa day but your bank account suggests otherwise, take these tips from spa-owner Skyy Hadley of As U Wish Nail Spa to help you relax and pamper yourself at home in under 30 minutes, affordably!

If you have 10 minutes… Heat 5-7 cups of whole milk over the stove until comfortably warm, but not hot. Add 2 cups of water and a few drops of Jasmine or Vanilla Essential Oils for extra pampering and relaxation, before soaking your feel for ten minutes. The lactic acid in the milk will loosen dead skin cells while the fat moisturizes, leaving your feet feeling silky smooth. Scrub off the excess dry skin with a foot scrub or pumice stone before moisturizing.

If you have 5 minutes… Exfoliate dead, dull, dry skin from shoulders to soles with a sweet Brown Sugar Foot Scrub. Just mix together 2 parts brown sugar with 1 part honey and enough olive oil to create your desired consistency before rubbing over dry skin. Stand in the shower or tub to reduce the mess and make it easy to rinse off. Do this after your milk soak if you have 15 minutes!

If you have 1 minute… Shea Butter is the secret! After you get out of the shower, pamper yourself by lathing on store-bought Shea butter. Your skin will feel smooth and sexy all day and the extra minute will help you feel relaxed and pampered for hours to come. Take it to the next level by adding in a few drops of sweet almond oil for the ultimate at-home spa experience.
