I recently got back from a jam-packed 4 days in London. Goal #1: exploring the world of Kryolan (which is about to reveal an epic makeover, which I’ll fill you in on soon! Promise!). Goal #2: discovering UK beauty products not (yet) available (or not yet popular) in the United States.
If, like me, you have sensitive eyes which require your eye makeup remover to be uber-gentle, or (also, like me,) you have a profound fear of under eye wrinkles that leaves you dreading every mild tug at your delicate under-eye skin in an attempt to remove eye makeup, I found the solution: olive oil soaked cotton swabs that gently and easily remove under eye makeup both at the end of the day (or to clean up makeup mishaps) without tugging under-eye skin or irritating sensitive eyes.
BUY IT/DIY IT: All Natural Eye Makeup Remover
BUY IT: DHC Olive Virgin Oil Swabs ($6 for 50 individually wrapped swabs). These individually wrapped, olive oil soaked (but not at all oversaturated) swabs seamlessly remove makeup while simultaneously soothing and conditioning the skin around your eyes, without leaving your skin greasy. With their individually wrapped design, you can throw them in your purse for mid-day touch ups and, since they’re already pre-saturated, don’t count on liquids in your carry on bag. Bottom line: they’re brilliant (although I’d expect nothing less from a Japanese skincare company!).
DIY IT: Fill a small plastic container with virgin olive oil (or coconut oil, if you prefer) and dip q-tips into the oil before blotting off excess onto a tissue and using immediately to remove eye makeup (or just hydrate dry cuticles!).
