The Best Skincare Serum for You
The Best Eye Serum. The eyes are the windows to the soul, so we want to start there. Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free Resurfacing Eye Serum ($58) is an all in one product which helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. You won’t have to wait weeks to see results either. Because this product is so highly concentrated, you’ll reap the benefits after just one or two applications. The serum mimics the benefits of laser treatments without the hefty price tag. Everyone knows that you should be getting those 8 hours of shut eye but we’re realistic people here and we know that sometimes happy hour continues into the wee hours of the morning and you need something to combat those puffy eyes that come from lack of sleep and dehydration.
The Best Nighttime Serum. Don’t have time to let your product sit before you apply your makeup for the day? Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum ($60) is great because you can apply it before you go to bed and wake up without having to worry about starting with a serum. We use this as is but you could also blend this with the night cream that you are already using. This serum boosts collagen production which works to firm the skin while the argan and rose oils give the skin a boost of brightness. This product is really great for combination skin because it wont overly dry out or moisturize.
The Best Serum for Skin Discoloration. Cult favorite, Kiehl’s is always a go-to for us – and Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution ($49.50) is great for achieving a more even skin tone. If you have dark spots as a result of sun exposure, aging, or just general wear and tear such as acne or blemishes, you NEED this product. After about 2 weeks of using this, we noticed a significant lightening of any dark spots. Clearly Corrective is both corrective but also preventative so using this will help keep future dark spots from forming.
The Best Serum for Radiant Skin. We were intrigued by the packaging but were sold once we tried Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Beauty Drops ($22). If you’ve never heard of or tried Arctic cloudberry, you need to get this, stat. Cloudberries are a rare berry that grow in the arctic but because of their very short period of growth, they are more highly concentrated than plants that grow elsewhere. This stuff is potent and will definitely do the trick if you need to liven up dull skin. Give it 28 days and you’ll see a difference in fine lines and radiance.
The Best Serum for Dry Skin. Just in time for Spring, Darphin Hydraskin Intensive Skin-Hydrating Serum ($75) is jusst what you need to kick dry winter skin into gear for the warmer months. Formulated with Extreme Hydration Complex, this Hydraskin serum adds moisture by penetrating the skin which leads to a glowing complexion. If your skin feels tight or dry from the cold weather, use this serum once a day in the morning or in the evening for more intense benefits.
