Feet SOS: Transform Winter Soles With This Exfoliating Pedicure Recipe

DIY Exfoliating Pedicure Recipe

Ready to pull all your open toed shoes out from the depths of your closet only to realize your feet more closely resemble sand paper than human flesh?

Well, you’re neither alone nor doomed.

Rather, transform your winter-weathered feet from drab to fab with this exfoliating pedicure recipe from celeb manicurist and owner of As “U” Wish Nail Spa, Skyy Hadley.

Your feet will look and feel fresh and your skin will be soft, smooth, and hydrated  – all for a fraction of the cost of a pedicure!

Skyy’s Milk-Me-Away Exfoliating Pedicure Recipe

2 cups whole milk
1 cup hot water
3-5 drops of lavender or vanilla essential oil
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp baking soda
1 Tbsp olive oil

Combine the milk, water, and essential oil in a large basin (or even a roasting pan). Soak feet for 5-10 minutes. The lactic acid in the milk will loosen dead skin, smoothing out calluses, while the essential oils will calm the skin and soothe any soreness or inflammation.

Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar, baking soda, and olive oil to create an exfoliating scrub. After soaking your feet, use the exfoliating scrub to get rid of the dead, dull skin cells that have been softened.

Finish with a thick shea butter lotion to lock in an extra dose of moisture.
